These wonderful boxes are made from a single piece of wood. By sawing with a slice around the tree every time, and then forming slices and gluing them together, you can do yourself a lot of boxes with the only loss of material existence saw cuts. Creating something with no losses or, conversely, of waste is one of my strongest drive. it comes from a deep love and respect for the material as a whole.
